What We'll Do Each Day To Complete Your Carol Arrangement

PREPARATION WEEK:
(October 16-22, 2023 — Inside Member's Area)
For a week before the LIVE Challenge, you'll have various exercises to go through in preparation for our week of fun. You'll receive a series of video tutorials to help you complete your challenge. Then, during our 7 days together, our live calls will be for Q&A, implementation, and critique to make sure you get all your questions and concerns answered.

DAY 1 — STORYBOARD:
(October 23rd, 2023, 10 a.m. MST — On Zoom)
On Day 1, you'll create your own emotional storyboard for your 3-verse arrangement. With your storyboard, you'll have the key to selecting your harmonies. You'll also select from one of the 7 Carols I recommend for this Challenge. We keep it to these 7 Carols so you can more successfully complete your piece.

DAY 2 — HARMONY, PART 1:
(October 24th, 2023, 10 a.m. MST — On Zoom)
On Day 2, you'll use the principles of re-harmonization and the pre-composed alternate harmonies provided to create verse 1 of your arrangement. You'll also use these harmonies to prepare your introduction and the interlude between verses 1 and 2.

DAY 3 — HARMONY, PART 2:
(October 25th, 2023, 10 a.m. MST — On Zoom)
On Day 3, you'll continue to use the principles of re-harmonization and the provided alternate harmonies to create verse 2 and the interlude to verse 3.

DAY 4 — PIANO PART, VERSE 1:
(October 26th, 2023, 10 a.m. MST — On Zoom)
On Day 4, you'll begin turning your harmonies into a full, resonant accompaniment that will support your singers well. With just a few tweaks to the original piano mantras provided for you, your chosen harmonies will turn into a fully-fledged accompaniment.

DAY 5 — PIANO PART, VERSE 2:
(October 27th, 2023, 10 a.m. MST — On Zoom)
On Day 5, you'll continue to refine your harmony and shift it into the 2nd verse of your hymn arrangement.

DAY 6 — PIANO PART, VERSE 3:
(October 30th, 2023, 10 a.m. MST — On Zoom)
On Day 6, you'll conclude the crafting of your piano part by using another piano mantra template to accompany the original SATB version of your carol and the coda of your arrangement.

DAY 7 — NOTATION & PRINTING:
(Inside Member's Area)
On the final day, you'll discover the best practices and principles for how to typeset your arrangement in the notation software of your choice.
